Locum Doctors
Locum doctors are used to cover
surgeries when your doctor is on
holiday, study leave or sick leave.
Locum doctors are also used to cover
some night calls.
To Speak to the Doctor
Your doctor may be contacted by
telephone at the end of surgery i.e.
between 11.30am and 11.45am. Please
do not disturb your doctor during
surgery hours.
Do not telephone the doctor for
repeat prescriptions.
New Patients
To register at the Practice, please
bring your medical card. This should
be signed and your present address
should be completed if this has
changed. If you do not have a
medical card, please ask reception
for a GMS1 form. All new patients
over 5 years of age will be invited
to make an appointment with the
Practice Nurse for a general health
check. This includes height, weight,
blood pressure and a few general
questions concerning your health,
please bring a urine sample to this
appointment and all current
medication being used.
To register online please click
here.
Repeat Prescriptions
If you are prescribed regular
medication please ask a receptionist
for a print out of your repeat
medication for your reference.
Please select items off this list
and allow 48 hours for this to be
processed. Please remember to
enclose a stamped addressed envelope
if posting and indicate if your
prescription is to be collected from
the surgery or sent to Brights
chemist or Alliance or Gospel Lane
pharmacy. Please remember to renew
your prescription well before your
existing medication runs out. It is
advisable to use the same chemist on
each occasion to avoid confusion.
Repeat prescriptions will not be
taken over the telephone! Allowances
will be made for the over 65's and
the housebound.
• Please note patients can order
repeat medication through our
website.
Please click here.
• Please make sure you have your
medication in front of you to ensure
the correct information is entered
on your request.
HELP YOUR LOCAL NHS TACKLE THE
PROBLEM OF MEDICINE WASTE
Sometimes patients or carers with
repeat prescriptions continue to get
more medicines than they really need
and stockpile them at home. Please
think carefully before ticking all
the boxes on your repeat
prescription forms and only tick
those you really need. If you are
receiving items of medication you no
longer use please inform your GP or
reception staff. Thank You
Test Results
Test results may not be given over
the telephone.
